Mediterranean Sea - The Global Sumud Flotilla will hold a press conference near the 120 nautical mile line off Gaza’s coast as it approaches Israel’s illegal naval blockade. Last night, Israeli warships engaged in dangerous and intimidatory maneuvers against flotilla vessels Alma and Sirius. Warships disabled communications, aggressively circled civilian boats, and forced captains into sharp evasive actions to avoid collision. These hostile actions placed unarmed civilians from over 40 countries in grave danger.

Despite these reckless aggressions, the flotilla remains undeterred and continues its course with determination. Carrying urgently needed food and medicine, participants emphasize that they are peaceful humanitarian volunteers sailing in international waters to challenge Israel’s unlawful siege of Gaza and deliver aid to a population facing starvation and genocide.

Today’s press conference will provide:
