In response to the silent genocide in Gaza, he undertook 3 humanitarian missions: April, July, and December 2024. What I witnessed was beyond humanitarian crisis:

Acknowledges the extreme contrast between treating skiers in Verbier and war victims in Gaza
Stays true to his values despite the contradiction
“What matters is staying true to your principles.”
Participated in a peaceful march toward Gaza via Egypt
Although blocked by Egyptian authorities, the action was a major success:
Now committed to continuing this fight through the international flotilla coalition
Working with the Global Sumud Flotilla movement
Believes that:
“Doing nothing is not an option.”
“Breaking the blockade is a necessity.”
In 2025, Dr. Hicham founded Waves of Freedom Switzerland —
a civilian-led initiative representing the Swiss delegation,
to actively join and support the Global Sumud Flotilla in its mission for justice and humanitarian action.
