Swiss Citizens Join Global Flotilla to Break Gaza Blockade

A Peaceful Mission for Urgent Aid
Swiss citizens will join the Global Sumud Flotilla, a historic civil society action gathering over 160 nationalities, to peacefully challenge the maritime blockade of Gaza. The Swiss association Waves of Freedom (WOFA) plans to send five boats carrying infant formula and water filters to address the urgent humanitarian crisis. According to Hicham El Ghaoui, WOFA President, trucks full of food remain blocked near Gaza, worsening the situation.

Departures from Barcelona and Tunis
Sailings are scheduled from Barcelona on August 31 and from Tunis on September 4, transporting life‑saving supplies and a clear message: civil society acts where politics fail.

Raising International Attention
The initiative seeks to focus global attention on Gaza’s humanitarian emergency and to build peaceful momentum to lift the blockade.
