Swiss Waves of Freedom Flotilla Launches First Boat “Heidi” for Gaza

The Swiss delegation of the Global Sumud Flotilla has officially purchased its first boat thanks to generous citizen donations. The vessel has been christened Heidi, symbolizing Switzerland’s spirit of freedom and resistance against oppression.

At the end of August, Heidi will set sail for Gaza alongside dozens of other ships — large and small — carrying water filters and powdered milk for infants.

This marks a historic step for Waves of Freedom Switzerland, proving that civil society can act where governments fail.
